Wara Wara Hostel - Cusco, Peru

This was another lovely place to stay. Miguel and his wife looked after us while we were in Cusco. We enjoyed Miguel's cooking as well... the view from their bar/restaurant was amazing!!!! We had a nice Argentinian wine, music and beautiful view at Wara Wara. We would definitely want to come back to this place! Thanks Miguel :-)

This was another lovely place to stay. Miguel and his wife looked after us while we were in Cusco. We enjoyed Miguel's cooking as well... the view from their bar/restaurant was amazing!!!! Hostal Imperio De Los Inkas - Agua Calientes, Peru

The room itself was ok but the manager was a bit difficult to deal with. This hotel has bad reviews but it was cheap so we stayed but I wouldn't stay here again. In fact if I can avoid it, I wouldn't want to stay in Aguas Calientes - a total tourist trap.
One good thing was that they packed us breakfast on the day we visited Machu Picchu which was nice (as we were leaving really early). It was really unfortunate that we had an incident the next day... more on Trip advisor review (below).

La Casa de Ana - Arequipa, Peru

This was a nice place. Ana (the owner) was very pleasant, friendly and we felt very welcomed. Her cat was also very friendly whom we enjoyed playing with a lot on the rooftop.
(Maybe we are a bit biased because we love cats so much.)
This casa is located in a very nice neighbourhood, there are only 4 or 5 rooms (i think) in total, very cozy and safe. There is a kitchen we could use to make tea, supper if we wanted, which was super nice (as we were travelling for a long time), washing line we could use on the rooftop.
Highly recommended! (probably the best value hotel out of all the places we stayed in Peru)

Clean rooms, good wifi (although some rooms have bad signal - like our original room on the third floor), helpful and friendly staff, great breakfast and generally good food at their restaurant. Wish they kept the pool a little cleaner though.. because it was frigging hot in Ica.
