From São Paulo to Bombinhas

After a short stay in São Paulo, we headed South.

We caught an overnight bus to a little beach town called Balneário Camboriú.

It took us about 12 hours by bus from São Paulo (yes, Brazil is huge!).

Balneário Camboriú was nice but very windy. Everything in Brazil is more expensive than I expected, especially the restaurants. So on our second day, we bought some groceries at a supermarket and had a little picnic on the beach! Nice idea but it was too windy. Ended up eating sand with my sandwiches. Crunchy!

We had no idea which bus to take from Balneário Camboriú to Bombinhas but with some body languages and a little help of google translation we made it to yet another beautiful beach town, even further south of Balneário Camboriú.

A local bus from Porto Belo to Bombinhas!

The bus trip was really fun.
Despite us not speaking any Portuguese and most people (we came across) spoke little or no English, we were always interacting with people. They'd say something in Portuguese and we kind of guess what they were saying and we would answer in English... we think we can guess what they are saying but we are probably way off.. oh well, it's all part of the fun travelling!

Really tall man
