This time we are heading North to Chiang Rai. We are going to spend the last couple of weeks in Thailand relaxing.
But first, the bus. We bought our tickets at Mo Chit bus terminal the day before our departure. We decided to try the Government bus - 980 baht per person one way. Toilet on the bus and it was a double-decker bus - we managed to get the front row, upstairs. Woohoo!!!!! (things that make me happy these days.....)

This was the best VIP bus we've had so far!!
Very comfortable seats and lots of leg space. Even clean toilet on the bus!
Bus left Bangkok at 8:20 pm. It took us about 11 hours from Bangkok to Chiang Rai, stopping once for dinner around 10 pm.
I was able to sleep, when I woke up, it was already past Chiang Mai.... :-)
