Trippin' in Poland

We entered Poland overland from Lithuania, our first stop was the capital of Poland, Warsaw. We arrived on the 70th anniversary of Warsaw Uprising and the city was packed with Polish people with their flags.

After a couple of days in Warsaw, we caught the train down to Kraków - the second largest city in Poland. We were hoping we could use our Eurail pass in Poland but Eurail global pass is not valid in Poland, yet. So we had to pay the full fare which was kind of expensive.... (254 PLN - about US $82 for two for the second class seats) The train was quite comfortable -approx. 4 hours.

Kraków was beautiful. Not too big, not too small (I took a lot of photos - Kraków album)

Since I had only 3 more weeks left for my Europe Visa, we had to move on quickly. After a couple of days in Kraków, we took a bus (slow and very uncomfortable) to Berlin, Germany.
Ahhh.....Another long bus ride - over 10 hours!!!
