I am off to China!

Planning a mini trip to.....

It's been over a year and half since we came back from our big year round the world trip and while we've been taking our mini trips to some wonderful places, I wanted something a little different.

There are still a lot of countries we've never been to and I am dying to visit them all but I can only realistically take about ten days, including the travel time.

I wanted to see something different. It would have been nice to go with Frode but our schedules didn't match so I am setting off solo this time!

The Cat Island

Ah we finally made it! Ever since we moved to Japan, we always wanted to visit the Cat Island. FYI - there are a number of cat islands all over Japan but Tashirojima (Japanese: 田代島) is probably the most well known cat island in Japan.

The cat population outnumbers the human population on this island, more than 100 cats on the island and less than 100 people, making cats the island's dominant species.
